CASH PRIZES AND AWARDS
TEACHER AWARDS FOR PRO/AM
1st - $12,000. 2nd - $5,000. 3rd - $3,000. 4th - $2,500.
5th - 2,000. 6th - 1,500. 7th - 1,300. 8th - 1,200.
9th - 1,100. 10th - 1,000.
To qualify you must have a minimum of 50 Pro/Am entries for this unisex competition and be on a package. Package qualification will be waived if you have a minimum 125 Pro/Am entries. The points are awarded as follows:
Single and two dance entries:
1st place - 8 points 2nd place - 7 points 3rd place - 6 points 4th place - 5 points
5th place - 4 points 6th place - 3 points 7th place - 2 points 8th place - 1 points
3 points for each call back
Multi 3, 4 and 5 dance entries:
1st place - 16 points 2nd place - 14 points 3rd place - 12 points 4th place - 10 points
5th place - 8 points 6th place - 6 points 7th place - 4 points 8th place - 2 points
5 points for each call back
*If a placement is in an uncontested division, the points remain the same.
PRE-TEENS, JUNIORS AND YOUNG ADULTS
Pro/Am who pay a reduced fee will receive 1/2 the points as described above.
RISING STAR TEACHER AWARDS FOR PRO/AM
1st - $1,000. 2nd - $900. 3rd - $800. 4th - $700.
5th - 600. 6th - 500.
If you have placed in the top ten Ohio Star Ball Top Teacher category or received money you are not eligible.
You are not eligible if you are in top ten Ohio Star Ball Top Teacher category for the current Series year.
PROFESSIONAL
1st - $2,000. 2nd - $1,500. 3rd - $1,200. 4th - $800. 5th - $700. 6th - $600.
Equal prize money will be awarded in American Rhythm and Smooth, International Standard and Latin.
PROFESSIONAL RISING STAR
1st - $500. 2nd - $400. 3rd - $300. 4th - $250. 5th - $225. 6th - $200.
Equal prize money will be awarded in International Standard and Latin, American Rhythm and Smooth.
PROFESSIONAL SHOW DANCE
1st - $600. 2nd - $500. 3rd - $400. 4th - $300. 5th - $200. 6th - $100.
Equal prize money will be awarded in International Standard and Latin, American Rhythm and Smooth.
PROFESSIONAL AMERICAN 9 DANCE AND INTERNATIONAL 10 DANCE AWARDS

PRO-AM AND AMATEUR AWARDS
Every Pro/Am student and amateur couple, who is doing 1 dance entries, will receive an elaborate award.
Top American and International free-style students, male and female, will be presented in all levels. To be eligible for top student awards a student must enter a minimum of 8 free-styles in that level, exception: Int’l Pre-Gold. Top student award will be based on the following:
1st place - 8 points 2nd place - 7 points 3rd place - 6 point 4th place - 5 points
5th place - 4 points 6th place - 3 points 7th place - 2 point 8th place - 1 points
5 point for each call back
*If a placement is in an uncontested division, the points remain the same.
Solo exhibitions will be presented with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd. They will be given a high score in Bronze M & F, Silver M & F, Gold M & F, Advanced M & F - Solo Exhibitions only.
PRO/AM STUDENT MERIT AWARDS
An accumulation of points throughout the event will place the student in the following categories and they will receive a special award. (Top male & female award will be given.)
301 & up Points - Honors
201-300 Points - Commended
1-200 Points - Admirable
The following is the breakdown of the points:
1 point for each entry
1 point for every call back
Individual Dance: Multi-Dance:
10 points - 1st place 20 points - 1st place
9 points - 2nd place 18 points - 2nd place
8 points - 3rd place 16 points - 3rd place
7 points - 4th place 14 points - 4th place
6 points - 5th place 12 points - 5th place
5 points - 6th place 10 points - 6th place
4 points - 7th place 8 points - 7th place
3 points - 8th place 6 points - 8th place
** If it is uncontested, the points remain the same.
Amateur couples will divide the points equally between each other.
TOP STUDIO AWARD
To qualify you must have a minimum of two teachers competing in Pro/Am.
There will be six placements. The points will be awarded for pro/am and amateur couples as follows:
